It's a rainy Monday in the city ( New York ) and it seems, like always, the city doesn't care - business as usual. That's the great thing about this city, nothing stops no one.
It's one of the first things I learned when moving to this beautiful city, excuses are for the weak and lazy. There's no snow day, or rainy day or hurricane that can stop the doers of This amazing city and it's heart beat is forever racing with subways and runners, gym goers, school kids, you name it.
Whike walking up the subway exit on union square I found myself on my regular routine, walking through the farmers market, racing to Starbucks - but I was interrupted by a rain drop that caught me directly on the tip of my nose, it wasn't unusual for rain to hit my nose, honestly, rain hits every part of your exposed body - but this drop for some reason caught my full attention and stood mid center of the market and I realized the city had my attention and the fresh air was filtered because of the rain felt so good as I inhale and for a moment just stood their ( looking crazy to others I know ) taking in that moment.
How often are we missing precious moments like these? And it was worth it because as much as I love Mondays - today was such a drag up until that point.
So take a moment to be silent and inhale the day- allow your mind and body to slow down and experience this moment - you get one life, take full advantage of every second you have.
